ANFC Church is a vibrant, welcoming, and multicultural family based in the heart of Derby. For over 30 years, we have faithfully served the community of Derby, building a legacy of faith, love, and impact. What began as a vision to reach people with the message of hope has grown into a thriving church committed to making a difference both locally and beyond, while laying strong foundations for generations to come.
At the heart of who we are is a deep love for God and a genuine love for people. Everything we do is shaped by this foundation. We are passionate about creating a space where individuals and families feel welcomed, valued, and supported, a place where lives are encouraged, strengthened, and transformed. Our desire is to help people discover their God-given purpose and grow into the fullness of who they are called to be.
We are committed to bringing the Great Commission to life in a practical and meaningful way. Our mission is captured in four key expressions: Love, Liberate, Lead and Launch. We seek to love people unconditionally, see lives set free and restored, raise strong and confident leaders, and empower individuals to step into their calling and make an impact in the world around them.
Through faith, fellowship, and service, we cultivate an environment where spiritual growth is nurtured, authentic relationships are built, and people are equipped to live out their faith in everyday life. Whether through worship, teaching, community initiatives, or outreach, our aim is to reflect the heart of God in all that we do.
At ANFC, we believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute. What we believe
At ANFC Church, our faith is rooted in the truth of God’s Word and the life-transforming power of the Gospel. The following statements summarise the core beliefs that guide our teaching, worship and mission.
The Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the infallible and authoritative Word of God. It is inspired by God and serves as the foundation for faith, life and Christian practice.
The Trinity
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons:
God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
These three are co-equal, co-eternal and work together in perfect unity.
God the Father
We believe that God the Father is the Creator and sustainer of all things. He is loving, sovereign and actively involved in the world and in the lives of His people.
God the Son – Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless and perfect life.
Jesus willingly gave Himself as the vicarious sacrifice for the sins of all humanity through His death on the cross. He rose again from the dead in His glorified body, appeared to many witnesses, and ascended into heaven.
Today, Jesus is the Head of the Church, and we believe that He will return again to the earth in power and glory.
God the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus to empower believers. The Holy Spirit lives within those who follow Christ, guiding, strengthening and enabling them to live a transformed life. Through the Holy Spirit, believers can demonstrate and manifest the gifts and power of God.
Humanity
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, uniquely designed with purpose and value.
Baptism
We believe that water baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. It symbolises a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ and their new life in Him.
